Why Write an E-Book?
E-books have in recent years sprung up from
all over the Internet, covering just about
every aspect you could possible imagine, I
myself enjoy reading and writing such books
for my own references or sometimes the needs
of friends because they have so much more
artistic freedom then with a standard .TXT
format of document, and its for that reason
that .PDF is the now one of the most common
formats that an e-book will come in having
somewhat more life and character then with
the plain text. These e-books may be instructions for a
product your selling or the book may even be
the product itself if you have valuable
information or plan to be the next big author
or poet, whatever your idea now is a great time
for all those who have ever planned on publishing
their own documentation to finally get started
with the available technologies, references and
free or even cheap materials finally at the
independent small persons finger tips and the
down right need for quality content
and innovative thinkers world wide. Let's say you have an idea that you have been
working on for a while with the knowledge to
commit to it but have been unable to get off the
ground, given that you believe in the idea and
have the tenacity to see it through you may be on
your way to creating the kind of quality content
the whole world and Internet may require in its
battle to seek out and destroy false and
irrelevant content which has been polluting
TV, Cinemas and search engines. Perhaps, in the past, you have looked into
self-publishing and found just how expensive
the industry can be to get your own work in
print and onto shelves. Most "vanity presses"
require minimal print runs of at least 500
copies, costing thousands, Some presses'
minimal is even higher and thats just for the
printing and binding, add in distribution,
shipping, promotional and other such facts and
the costs can rise unbelievably Luckily with with a laptop and a simple piece
of software you can convert any worthy document
into a PDF format ready to be given away, sold
or used in anyway you see fit for your shiny new
product that you have put heart, soul and
imagination into. Then with that same laptop
or PC you can use the Internet to distribute
your e-book in a manner which you find works best
for you, be it such methods as Ad networks,e-bay,
your website or through your personal chain
of friends and prospective clients. TIP
When creating any e book as part of a brand of
products which you yourself created or promote,
ensure you place references and links to your
site and other available products along with the
option to allow the reader to recommend the book
to a friend, have give away rights and if possible
the option to sign up for your e-courses,
newsletters etc. When looking at possible software to use for
creating your e book, look for options which give
creative flexibilities If you give people the ability
to interact with books, they in most cases will,
even if just to see what happens. drawing them
deeper into your information just as any writer
must do. and for those of you looking for the software to
get started making your content into an ebook you
